Community
Kew Sparkle and the Kew Village Christmas Lights are supported by the generosity of the wider Kew community.
The support from local businesses is hugely important, through their financial donations towards Kew Village Christmas Lights, the provision of raffle prizes, selling raffle tickets and displaying posters. On the night many businesses open late and make their own festive contributions including offering mulled wine, hosting Santa’s Grotto and selling fair ride tickets.
Local organisations, including KewTW9, Kew Village Market, Kew Society and Kew Rotary Club are among the stallholders at Kew Sparkle and support us by publicising Kew Sparkle in their e-news. A special mention of thanks goes to the Kew Society for their support towards the illuminated Christmas tree on Kew Plaza.
The musical entertainment provided by our local primary schools is a regular feature at Kew Sparkle. Bringing their choirs on the night spreads festive cheer and allows the children to showcase their talent. The schools are also important fundraisers for the Kew Village Christmas lights through the “Kew Kids for Kew Village Lights” appeal by wearing Christmas jumpers for a day.
Let’s give a round of applause to our local residents who participate in seasonal fundraising events and make donations to the Kew Village Christmas Lights appeal.
The Community support is enormously appreciated.
